I Usually Enjoy A Cup Of Coffee With A Danish, But For Caroline Wozniacki, I’m Willing To Make An Exception
When I learned that tennis tart Ana Ivanovic once again failed miserably at the U.S. Open yesterday, I was disappointed. That is, until I learned that fresh-faced 19-year-old Caroline Wozniacki, the number nine seed, won her first round match against Galina Voskoboeva 6-4, 6-0. Now Ivanovic’s loss doesn’t sting quite so much since I have a new young lady to cheer on in this year’s tournament.
Wozniacki, who already has six WTA titles under her belt, is primed to make a run at the U.S. Open this year (she made it to the round of 16 last year, losing to Jelena Jankovic). To me, this seems to be a pretty good thing.
Allow me to illustrate.
What an absolute doll. Anyone who is a fan of women’s tennis should be pulling for her right now. Wait, that didn’t come out right – you know what I mean.
