• Sorry, Jim, company policy is company policy. Jim Nicholson, a Seattle bank teller for Key Bank, has been fired for jumping over the counter and pursuing a would-be bank robber. The bank cited strict comany policy that tellers always cooperate with a robber’s demands as the reason for Nicholson’s termination. Nicholson finally apprehended the suspect, a transient with a long criminal history, several blocks away with the assistance of a bystander. The funny thing is Nicholson would have reacted the exact same way had someone taken his pen.
