Video Game Nerd/European Tour Player Rory McIllroy Is A Master Of The Obvious
Rory McIllroy, the 20-year old phenom from Northern Ireland who finished tied for 20th at the Masters in April, is getting his first opportunity at playing the TPC at Sawgrass this week and guess what? He’s figured out it’s easier to play the renowned Stadium Course on Tiger Woods PGA Tour than it is to play it for real.
Also, he reportedly has learned that water is wet. Said the wise sage:
“It’s a lot different. You get up to holes like 11 on the computer and you can drive it up to the big tree on the right, which is like 150 from the green, I had a good drive yesterday and was still hitting a five wood in, it is not quite like it is on the Play Station.”
Look at the big brain on Rory! Good thing he’s an amazing golfer because I don’t see college in his future.
I wonder if Rory also thinks you can evade police with much more ease after running over pedestrians in Grand Theft Auto than in real life.
Whatever he does, I hope he doesn’t choose to test out that theory. Odds are that won’t end well – just ask Donte’ Stallworth.
